Reasons to buy a real xmas tree

Christmas Trees benefit the environment. Growing forests are an important part of the fight against global warming.  Put simply, trees grow by taking carbon dioxide (the greenhouse gas CO2) out of the atmosphere and releasing clean oxygen.  One acre of Christmas trees provides enough daily oxygen for at least 18 people.

Christmas tree plantations are a wonderful haven for a wide variety of birds and other wildlife from the smallest insects to large mammals.

We grow our Christmas trees as a crop and for every tree harvested we replant at least 1 tree ensuring the production is sustainable.

Your real tree is recyclable.  It can be chipped into biodegradable mulch and used on gardens, playgrounds etc.  Artificial trees are non bio-degradable and making artificial trees uses large quantities of liquid fossil fuels. If burnt, an artificial tree will produce noxious gasses.

Effects our trees have on the environment
At Santa Fir Christmas Tree Farm we take the effects growing Christmas trees very has on the environment and wildlife seriously.

To Summarise
One way to protect the environment is to choose renewable materials.

Real trees are a renewable source / Artificial trees may last several years in your home but also a lifetime in landfill sites.
